A scrum is not just about size and strength, it's all about technique. This point was perfectly demonstrated by the Japan U20 forwards as they put on a scrummaging clinic which left the French lads clueless.
This clip from the weekend's U20 World Championship action shows a French scrum on their own 5-yard-line which the Japanese effortlessly push them off and then proceed to bully their opponents until yellow cards are shown, subs are made, and a penalty try is awarded.
Ruthless!
That is a well drilled pack right there.
Sadly, this was Japan's only score in a 47-7 loss. I guess they didn't get any more scums inside the 22.
