You are probably sick of hearing about the huge effort the Welsh put in against the Irish yesterday in order to run out 23-16 victors. The Welsh defence managed to rack up 250 tackles in total throughout the game and it's no wonder when you watch these two clips. In the first, Wales manage to soak up an astonishing 32 phases of Irish pressure before giving away a penalty.
Ireland elected to kick for the corner and once again threw everything they had at the Welsh. And once again the Welsh defence was equal to it. This time they held strong for a further 13 phases before Sexton gave away a penalty.
The Irish siege lasted over seven minutes in total without yielding any points. It was the turning point in the game and it's importance was emphasised when 5 minutes later the Welsh managed to get themselves a try.
