Brian O'Driscoll came off injured in tonight's semi-final against Ulster and it appeared at the time it may have sadly been his last game. BOD went down after tackling Iain Henderson and taking a nasty bang on his head off the Ulsterman's hip.
He seemed understandably upset at the decision to take him off but credit must go to the Leinster backroom for doing the right thing in the most heartbreaking of circumstances – knowing that, with Ulster leading 9-0 at time, it may well be O'Driscoll's last act in a Leinster jersey. Thankfully for him, and Leinster fans, his replacement Ian Madigan scored the try that rescued the match for Leinster and brought with the promise of a final day out.
Fans from both sides gave the legend a standing ovation as he left the field.
