Further to our previous story on Conor George and Jamie Heaslip, it seems that Conor George's tweets about Jamie Heaslip have disappeared into the Italian ether like white smoke. Below you'll see two screengrabs from the very handy Tweet Tunnel site. One from roughly 22.45 this evening and one about five minutes later. You'll see a whole lot of tweets from March 6, 2012 are no more.
There's nothing wrong with sports journalists expressing opinions on players (George could possibly argue that he was overegging his opinions to speak to his Cork constituency, and his profile makes it clear that the opinions are expressed are his own) he just should have deleted the tweets when he took the job on Talbot Street.
UPDATE: That Twitter account has been reinstated, but is now private.
