It's a sign of the times that Ireland's best representative in the Champions Cup can't tempt players more than lowly French and English clubs.
The sheer amount of money being thrown around by the likes of Bristol, Worcester, and Pau is jaw-dropping - and it's the biggest sign of the challenge facing the Celtic teams.
The latest big All Black to sign for a lowly Top 14 side - this time La Rochelle - is non other than 33 times capped Victor Vito. If rumours are to be believed, Ulster were in for the New Zealand flanker as strive to bolster the big weakness in their team.
Looking forward to joining @ASRofficiel later this year! Can't wait to meet the team and see the city 👍🏽 #BlackAndYellow

Vito has signed a three year deal with the French team who are in tenth in the Top 14. He joins a team whose most notable player is former Springbok Ricky Januarie.
Score one for the lowly French teams. Who will Ulster turn to now?
