Ulster are set to announce some 'exciting' signings in the coming weeks according to director of rugby Les Kiss.
Speaking with Stephen Watson on BBC Ulster Rugby Extra, Kiss spoke positively about Franco van der Merwe's contract extension along with the acquisitions of Kieran Treadwell from Harlequins and Rodney Ah You from Connacht.
Kiss also teased some announcements which he expects to be made sometime in the next two to five weeks.
Firstly, for Franco to stay another year, it's fantastic. He's been a great clubman in his couple of years here. He's very professional and he's helped out a lot of young lads.
We've had recently the addition of Kieran Treadwell who's a very good signing for us and the addition of Rodney Ah You.
We've retained the majority of players, if not all the players that we wanted to keep. So, our roster is strong.
There's a couple more announcements to be made over the next few weeks. Maybe in two, four, five weeks. We'd hope that people are very excited by what we have coming up. We think it's exciting.

Presumably the signings of which Kiss speaks will be in addition to All Black winger Charles Piutau who is set to join the province in July after a year with Wasps.
