Ulster continued their woeful run of form earlier today, with arguably their worst performance of the season in a 19-17 loss away to the Ospreys.
An interception try in the 64th minute and a sensational drop goal from Dan Edwards in one of the last plays of the game stole the match away from the Irish province, who have now dropped to eighth place in the URC standings.
Ulster Fans Lay Into Dan McFarland
After the game, head coach Dan McFarland decided to criticise a late refereeing decision that went against Ulster when they were in a favourable attacking position, rather than blame his side's performance and his coaching.
His comments did not go down well with the rugby public, including Ulster fans, whose responses you can read below:
This Ulster fan deeply embarrassed to see head coach blaming the ref. Ulster didn't lose that on marginal calls. Lost it for same structural reasons for dismal run of results over last 15 months. Bit of decorum and introspection the least he could offer up
Not a good look at all from McFarland. He’s under pressure sure, but I’d rather have a coach outline about 17 other reasons for defeat than the referee
This is toxic. Not a view held by any right thinking @UlsterRugby fan and I personally want to distance myself from it. Supporting UR for over a quarter of a century and never heard the like. The sooner he’s gone the better.

Tom Stewart was clearly warned twice that he’d broken off.
The offside was marginal but ultimately the AR was in the best place to see it.
This is poor from McFarland.
Fair play for Claire Thomas for reining him in too. https://t.co/B5BoqkXmsP

Ulster can't continue with Jonny Petrie and Dan McFarland at the helm.
Or rather they can, but it will get worse.
If you think this is bad just wait until we lose a load of players in the summer...
