Something strange is going on over at the IRFU headquarters in Ballsbridge. Either that, or it must be a very quiet day before Christmas.
Things started to turn unusual at 9.30 this morning on the Irish Rugby twitter:
Coming up...we reveal some of @irishrugby's celebrity followers. There are some surprise names #ShoulderToShoulder with the team.

There's nothing like a bit of humble boasting on twitter on an early Christmas morning:
Star of The Fall and soon to set the world alight as Christian Grey, actor @JamieDornan is on the list of celebs following @irishrugby
— Irish Rugby (@IrishRugby) December 23, 2014
HI twitter bio reads: 'Culture Club Singer, DJ. photographer. Artist.' but @boygeorge is also a following @irishrugby

Sabrina The Teenage Witch is following @IrishRugby. Yes you read that right! Thanks @MelissaJoanHart http://t.co/3nkZBKGH81

What's astonishing is where Clarissa and Sabrina got their interest in rugby, never mind Irish rugby. But the most impressive follower of all is the cultural icon of Ross O'Carroll Kelly:
He may not be verified but he's the real deal so we've included author, SCT star & all round great dad @RossOCK on our celebrity list

This wasn't the end of it though. It's not just on twitter that this vital piece of breaking news was released:
Breaking... pic.twitter.com/aTtKwUCySo

There are others, according to the official website, but not all that got a specific tweet, like "First Lady of Irish Rugby" Amy Huberman, and dominant NFL superstar JJ Watt.
