Barely had the dust settled on the fantastic spectacle that was the Rugby World Cup 2015, had the TV3 crew picked their team of the tournament. The trio of Keith Wood, Matt Williams, and Shane Jennings voted for their players and came up with a few surprising names.
Ireland did get a representative involved, with both Wood and Jenning plumping for Ulster hooker Rory Best over the gracious Stephen Moore. Ireland did have one other nominee, with Iain Henderson just missing out to Argentina's Tomas Lavannini and last year's World player of the year Brodie Retallick.
Interestingly, three of the six-man shortlist for this year's World Player of the Year - Alun Wyn Jones, Greig Laidlaw, and Michael Hooper - fail to make the cut here - with Retallick, Lavannini, Aaron Smith and Schalk Burger making it instead.
There's no mention of any of the Japanese heroes, but Shane Jennings did push hard for Ayuru Goromaru. Argentina only had two players included, but they did have a further four nominated with fliers Santiago Cordero and Juan Imhoff, prop Herrera, and flanker Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe.
Some names that missed out include Bryan Habana, Nehe Milner-Skudder, Mark Bennett, Ma'a Nonu, Lood de Jager, and Mamuka Gorgodze
