He's certainly the greatest player I have seen
In the second part of our series of interviews as part of the #thirteen campaign with 02, we spoke to RTE commentator George Hamilton, RTE pundit Brent Pope and presenter of Newstalk's Off the Ball program Ger Gilroy about their favorite memories of Brian O'Driscoll and his lasting legacy on the game. George Hamilton remembers seeing a jubilant O'Driscoll in the dressing room in Paris after that hat-trick in 2000:
The players with him were just so overjoyed for him, as much as they were for themselves
Ger Gilroy spoke of how O'Driscoll influence inspired the likes of Rocky Elsom to play in Ireland and how he has carved his place in Irish sporting history "Think of your own Irish Mount Rushmore, Roy Keane is an automatic, Brian O'Driscoll is an automatic and after that, you have some arguments"
