Ireland beat South Africa on Saturday, despite being without CJ Stander for 57 minutes.
The South Africa-born back row was shown a straight red by referee Mathieu Raynal for what was deemed a dangerous late tackle on Springbok out-half Pat Lambie.
Post-match, Joe Schmidt expressed his viewed that the sending off had been a 'harsh' decision.
On Sunday, Stander faced a five-hour disciplinary hearing to decide whether or not he would receive a ban. That hearing was adjourned without a decision.
Today, it reconvened and was then again adjourned just moments before Ireland took to the pitch against Sweden at Euro 2016.
Finally, the verdict has come. Stander has been handed a one-match ban which means he will miss Saturday's second test at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.
However, he will be available for the third test on June 25th in Port Elizabeth.
