Wales doing what they (thought) needed to do + Ireland doing what we needed to do + England failing to do what they needed to do = Ireland winning the Six Nations.
Who said maths wasn't fun?
It was just one of Saturday's strange permutations that it was going to take an impressive Scotland performance to help England to the title. As we know, they weren't able and England fans are not happy.
Their feeling is perfectly summed up by the Metro's coverage of Mike Brown's comments regarding Scotland's performance. From where we're standing that is exactly the kind of headline we would have been hoping to see.

To be fair to England, it's hard to imagine Stuart Hogg or Greig Laidlaw celebrating like Rory Kockott did if Scotland had been able to prevent Ireland from winning the Championship.
However, as we know, they weren't able to. Ireland marched on and England were stopped in their tracks (just about).
We stuck 'Shower of Scotland' into Twitter to see if anyone else shared the Metro's sentiments. They did, this is just a small selection of the tweets that contain the words 'shower' and 'Scotland'.
(To be fair some of these are also from Welsh people, who also had reason to be less than pleased with Scotland)
Scotland have pissed me right off . Shower of shit
