Well, holy shit. They went and did it. Bar a brief period on the hour mark, Connacht utterly dominated the PRO12 final against Leinster, as Pat Lam cemented his being in contention for Irish rugby's greatest coaching achievement. An astonishing achievement by the Westerners. Here is a portion of the reaction to one of the greatest stories told in Irish sport:
Bravo Connacht.
Showing us all up here in the NH how rugby can, and should, be played.#AreYouWatchingJoe— Andy McGeady (@andymcgeady) May 28, 2016
Bravo Connacht, bravo Pat Lam. A special word for Robbie Henshaw...highly admirable and charitable to can this for Leinster next season.

Final point re Connacht - last min scrum no 8 goes in the slot trying to play the ball & score. No negative keep it in and go for a penalty.

Sixteen years ago y'day, Pat Lam lifted the Heineken Cup with Saints. Today, he won the Pro12 with Connacht. Superb. pic.twitter.com/MODbkAavgS

13 years ago, the IRFU considered disbanding Connacht. How's that for a response.
