While impending outgoings at Munster have made the most noise, the URC champions made a couple of solid additions for next season.

RG Snyman is due to depart for rivals Leinster in a switch that still feels raw for supporters of the province and he is a high-profile loss regardless of his poor injury record.

Even more pressing has been the fact that Antoine Frisch - a brilliant signing since the beginning of last season - has been effectively forced to leave after the IRFU failed to award him with what would have been a well-earned cap.

Joey Carbery will also swap Ireland for France, although his stock has undoubtedly dwindled over the last 12 months.

Munster have sourced some depth locally; Tom Farrell is a proven talent and will add to their midfield when he arrives from Connacht.

Also making that journey is towering wing Diarmuid Kilgallen, 23, who made an elecritc start to the season before injury struck.

Meanwhile, Ulster's Billy Burns - while not a potent threat to Jack Crowley - will bring some cover for the first-choice Ireland out-half.

Munster have certainly been busy but their latest reported acquisition is sure to raise more eyebrows.

Munster reportedly sign Lyon wing Thaakir Abrahams

Graham Rowntree's side will welcome the addition of Lyon wing Thaakir Abrahams this summer, according to a report in Lyon-based media outlet Le Progres.

The report states that Abrahams - who is South African - had been contracted until the summer of 2025 but had his release request granted in order to facilitate a move to Munster.

The 24-year-old will free up a non-French qualified place at the club, something which reportedly influenced Lyon's decision to let him depart early.

Abrahams notably scored a brace of tries in a livewire performance as Lyon got the better of Connacht 34-20 in the Champions Cup in January.

He also scored a particularly stunning individual try when playing for The Sharks against Leinster in the URC in 2022.

The diminutive wing has bundles of pace and would provide further back three depth with Simon Zebo set to retire at the end of this season.

Just 24-years-old, he could provide stiff competition for Calvin Nash - who recently signed a new deal - and particularly for Shane Daly as well as the inbound Kilgallen on the left flank.
