In a piece for today's Sunday Times Stephen Jones wrote:
They may have taken the title on points difference but the rules are not their fault. As a nation, the Irish are never slow to uncork the fever of fierce celebration. Even if this can occasionally lead them to depart from reality, there are five nations in the tournament who would dearly wish to be taking the same route this morning.
Well, he might want to look a little closer to home and his own media for individuals departing from reality. The Telegraph have titled a very optimistic Ian McGeechan piece about England's World Cup prospects, "All Blacks running scared".
Woah, hold you horses there, Telegraph. Who won the Six Nations again?
The Scot doesn't go as far as to say in the piece that the Kiwis will be "running scared" at the thought of playing England this June. So again, like with that Sunday Times headline, it seems it's a sub-editor running a little bit wild with their headline.
