Tom Croft is one of the English media's rugby darlings.
He is definitely a quality player, but there is something unnerving about the way praise is lavished upon him after every good performance. Croft's style of play seems to attract more superlatives and hyperbole than most others and Sky's Stuart Barnes was a true wordsmith when remarking on Croft's performance against the Waratahs in the Sunday Times.
When Barnes talks about Croft it almost borders on sexual and he probably needed a change of pants after typing that opening paragraph.
