Updated: Fillol was initially given a 26 week ban but had it reduced to 14 weeks due to past record of good behaviour.
Jerome Fillol has gotten a 14 week ban for gobbing a big gulp of flem into the face of former Munster scrumhalf Peter Stringer. The incident attracted outrage from fans and players alike over the weekend and many expected the book to be thrown at Fillol, both literally and figuratively. The story took a bizare turn when it emerged that Stringer had been spit on once before in his career and it is suspected that it was also Fillol.
