While the rugby game would finish in sensational fashion, perhaps the most impressive aspect of Ireland's performance during their win over South Africa yesterday was the resilience they showed in the second half.
Having led by ten points after a wonderful first half display, it was always likely that Andy Farrell's side would face a sterner test from the Springboks after the interval. That turned out to be the case, and while the Irish defence was resolute in terms of not conceding any tries, South Africa kept the scoreboard ticking over from the tee.
Ireland would stay within touching distance throughout, despite struggling in terms of territory and having captain Caelan Doris sent to the sin bin at one stage. Of course, we all know how the game finished.

Ciaran Frawley's last gasp drop goal was a play worthy of winning any rugby game, with very few arguing that Ireland did not deserve the victory.
However, some South Africa fans have made a rather strange complaint about the winning sequence of play.

Rugby: South Africa Fans Make Complaint About Frawley Drop Goal
South Africa appealed for obstruction in the aftermath of Ciaran Frawley's drop goal, with the manner in which Cheslin Kolbe threw himself at the feet of Finlay Bealham not impressing Ireland fans.
Despite this, some Springboks supporters have pointed out another potential obstruction during that phase of play.
It came when Kolbe moved around Caelan Doris, with it being suggested that the Leinster man intentionally blocked off the winger. Such claims seem like quite the stretch.
Deserved win for Ireland 👏 Boks should have closed the game out with the attacking line out at 78 min 🤦♂️ No strong thoughts on this - but Doris looking Kolbe in the eyes and swaying left 👀 quick call from TMO#SAvIRE #Springboks pic.twitter.com/jgqGqUUBLH

Looked like Kolbe did a dive but check the player before the guy he fell in front of. Eyes following Kolbe and extends arm. What you think? #RSAvIRE pic.twitter.com/YVmuTWwBOO

Doris all but stands perfectly still here, meaning the officials were correct in saying there was no obstruction prior to Ciaran Frawley's drop goal.
This seems like a major stretch from South Africa fans, who are not used to seeing their rugby team defeated on home soil. However, few could argue that Ireland did not deserve the win.
