Sonny Bill Williams went a step further than that with a moment of brilliance against South Africa.

Moments earlier, the 30-year-old looked like he was going to be the villain rather than the hero when his risky offload led to a try which put South Africa ahead 12-7.

Undeterred by his mistake, Williams continued to play his natural game and produced a sensational offload which allowed Joe Webber to score under the posts and give New Zealand the win.
