Even people living under rocks have good mobile internet coverage these days. So, really there's no excuse for not being aware of Sonny Bill Williams' gesture to a young fan after Saturday's World Cup final.
Speaking at the World Rugby awards night, Williams said that gifting his winner's medal was simply an attempt to put a smile on young Charlie Lines' face.
It was just a gesture that most fellas would do, especially from back home. The young fella got hurt, got tackled. I just looked at it as, if that was my little brother or nephew, I would not have wanted that to happen to him.
I guess I just tried to put a smile on his face.
Previous to the above interview, World Rugby did some rummaging in a drawer and came up with a replacement medal for the All Blacks centre.
