It's not very often you'd be tasked with writing the few token lines of text within a video post and struggle.
Having watched Sky Sports' tribute to Anthony Foley, those few throwaway lines seem even more vacuous than usual, and indeed utterly pointless given they can't remotely encapsulate the magnitude of the man Foley was, nor adequately sum up what is a remarkable piece of video production in his honour.
Thankfully, the video speaks for itself, as hoards of Foley's fellow rugby men wax lyrical about the former Munster captain and head coach - a Frankie Sheehan memory from the 2002 'Miracle Match' versus Gloucester in particular tugging the heartstrings, as do the clips from Foley's post-match interview following the 2006 Heineken Cup final.
Often these videos and similar tributes can seem almost cynical; 'lets further the brand with emotional video content', etc. This is not one of those videos. It's simply an ode to a larger-than-life rugby man, and one who will be missed by Irish rugby fans and, more importantly, his family and friends for years to come.
A final word of warning: If you've had a long day, don't watch it in the office.
