In the continuing series of conclusions to Simon Zebo's Munster career, the former Irish international signed off his last Thomond Park appearance in style.
Helping Munster to a tight 20-16 win over Edinburgh, Munster will now go on to play a highly-anticipated Pro 14 semi-final against Leinster.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the win, Zebo struggled to explain how difficult it will be for him to leave Munster; "I couldn't do it justice by saying how much I'll actually miss it."
Set to join Racing 92 at the end of the current season, Zebo's decision to depart the province had the knock-on effect of ending his international career with Ireland.
While age may ultimately mean Zebo never pulls on the green jersey again, the Cork man is not ruling out the possibility of a return to Munster someday. In his own words, it "will never be written off."
Growing up as a Munster man, to get the opportunity to represent your home province, there's nothing like it.
Obviously I've been very lucky and blessed to be able to do it for the length of time I did, but hopefully it's not the end.
Enjoying a warm reception from the crowd, Zebo remarked how great it had been "to bring the kids out onto the pitch and see my daughter and son waving at the crowd, I know they don't know what's going on now, but in years to come I'll be able to tell them about the time we were in Munster, so I was very proud."
Although it was his last appearance at Thomond Park for the time being, Zebo is not entertaining the thought of ending his Munster adventure just yet; "I'll remember this win definitely, but hopefully we have two more wins to go":
There are a lot of old, wise heads in the team like Pete and Billy and Earlsy and Conor. They've been through the mill and know how to close out these tight games which I think was essential.
