Johnny Sexton's move to Racing Metro this summer looks more justified than ever. According to ESPN, the Lions fly-half is the second highest earner in the French Top 14, earning a cool €52,000 per month, just €4,000 less than main-money-maker Jonny Wilkinson of Toulon.
It was originally reported some months ago that Sexton's contract would make him the highest earner in French rugby but his wages still propel him above the likes of Bryan Habana, Matt Giteau and Jamie Roberts, as well as any offer the IRFU could have made.
Sexton made his debut for the Parisian club last week.
