France have been somewhat of a shambles during this year's Guinness Six Nations. A dismal second-half collapse at home to Wales on the opening weekend was followed by the crushing 44-8 reverse at Twickenham against the English a fortnight ago.
Having slipped to tenth in the world rankings with that loss, French rugby seemingly is at it's lowest ebb in quite some time, with the token whispers of Gallic discontent amongst Jaques Brunel's charges growing louder by the day.
And whilst the may not be planning on collecting any silverware in the coming weeks, Les Blues may well have a chance of claiming a consolation from this year's edition in the form of Try of the Tournament, after Romain Ntamack crossed for what was a sensational first-half try a little earlier, with Scotland the visitors to Le Stade de France this lunchtime.

Whilst the plaudits may go to the fly-half, this effort was all about club teammate Thomas Ramos.
The full-back took full advantage of a favourable bounce from George Horne's dink into the French 22 leaving four opponents in his wake in his surge to half-way. There he took a fifth Scottish player out of the game with a perfect pass to Damien Penaud on the blindside wing and was on hand another crisp pass to Ntamack from the base of the ruck when Antoine Dupont was denied metres from the line.
17 seconds of pure French spontaneity!
It was a flash of brilliance that has illuminated a pretty dire game so far, with the home side holding a 10-3 advantage at the break.
