You may have seen the story last week of the Australian rugby league penis bite incident during a Gold Coast league game.

Now disciplinary action has been taken and 26-year-old Tugun Seahawks player Anthony Watts has been banned for eight matches, according to ABC, which reports:

"After the judiciary panel reviewed footage as well as reports from medical staff and match officials, it found Watts guilty of contrary conduct," Gold Coast Rugby League said in a statement on Wednesday.

"He has been suspended from playing until the completion of the eighth round of the 2014 season."

Watts, who was released by NRL side Sydney Roosters in 2011 for disciplinary problems, intends to appeal the ban.

Luis Suarez, take note.
