The 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup kicked off today in Ireland, and of course that can only mean one thing; an RTE montage.

We are always a fan of well produced montage to kick off an event that Ireland are competing in and RTE have not disappointed again with 'Come Dance With Us In Ireland'.

Women's Rugby has come a long way since being getting official status in the 1990s. At the 2015 World Cup, Ireland beat New Zealand in a historic win which saw the ladies advance all the way to the semi-finals where they eventually succumbed to the eventual winners, England.

Ireland face Australia this evening before taking on Japan on Sunday, August 13 and then four days later in their final group game they take on France on August 17.

The Irish squad were dealt a huge blow 10 days before the tournament when star player Niamh Briggs was forced to withdraw from the team due to injury but this has not killed the optimism around the squad or the country, with all of the group games in UCD sold out.

The knock out stages will take place in Belfast and Ulster's home ground Ravenhill.
