Keith Earls and Conor Murray were the only players in Munster's URC final winning squad today who were also part of the last 23 to win silverware for the province.
Their 14-19 win over the Stormers saw them lift their first league trophy since 2011, when they defeated Leinster 19-9 at Thomond Park.
It was particularly poignant for Earls who might have played his last game for Munster, after making his debut back in 2008.
Unlike Murray, Earls may not be part of Ireland's World Cup squad either, meaning that, rather fittingly, he may well have won silverware in his final game of professional rugby.
If does hang up his boots after the World Cup, it will be as a Munster legend with 202 caps and 64 tries for his province.
A man who was there for much of it, Ronan O'Gara, paid tribute to the winger on Twitter, clearly overjoyed at seeing his old side lift a trophy, just a week after coaching La Rochelle to Champions Cup glory.
That would warm your heart.. outstanding. Earlsie on the boys shoulders with Delores banging out the tunes….so good

After match, head coach Graham Rowntree spoke to the media and delivered an interview which showed why he is so beloved in his adopted home.
"It's a bit surreal, is this happening, is this really happening? It is.
"You know we've done it the hard way as well. Six games away from home. We've come here, a venue like this, up against the current champions, we've done it tough.
"This is for the whole province. People at the offices in Cork, Musgrave, people at the offices in Thomond, the fans, the people at home, the kids watching us. It's for everyone.
"It's not been an easy year. We lost a great one with Tom Tierney, a great coach, an emotional year.
"This is for the family of Tom, for everyone."
