Leinster confirmed on Monday morning that Robin McBryde will join the province as an assistant coach after this year's World Cup.
It was announced earlier in the day that John Fogarty, who has been Leinster scrum coach since 2015, will be departing the province this summer.
Fogarty will take up a dual role with the IRFU, becoming scrum coach to the Ireland team under Andy Farrell after the World Cup and also National Academy forwards coach from July 1st.
McBryde won 37 caps for Wales at hooker. After retiring in 2005, he moved into coaching, as first with the Scarlets before moving onto become Wales forwards coach. He was initially appointed by Gareth Jenkins in 2006.
The 48-year-old also stepped in as head coach to Wales during the summer tours of 2009 and 2013 when both Warren Gatland and Rob Howley were with the Lions.
