Big spending Montpellier rolled into the RDS on Saturday afternoon for Leinster's first Champions Cup game of the season.
Giant winger Nemani Nadolo is among the biggest threats for the French side who currently sit third in the Top 14 table.
Leinster took at 12-7 lead into half-time through tries from Joey Carbery and Josh van der Flier. Nadolo touched down for Montpellier.
The home side's advantage would be extended early in the second half through Robbie Henshaw. 13 minutes later, Henshaw would make another telling intervention in the game.
Nadolo appeared to have steamrolled Henshaw in midfield - a gasp of apprehension came for the Leinster crowd as the winger looked to have opened a hole in the Leinster defence. That was until Henshaw recalibrated his bearings to tackle the 20 stone Fijian to the ground.
Henshaw was not done there. He got to his feet and then won a turnover from Ruan Pienaar. The RDS crowd was full of appreciation for Henshaw's remarkable work rate.
Leinster won the game 24-17.
