After his condescending and perhaps patronising interview with Chloe Mustaki on Wednesday morning, Rob Wotton's popularity across Ireland has undoubtedly decreased.
The Sky Sports News presenter questioned Ireland international Chloe Mustaki on the 'Up The Ra' chant which circulated on social media yesterday.
Wotton went on to query the need for education in the Ireland team about Irish history, rather bizarre that an English presenter had the nerve to ask an Irish woman about her knowledge of history in the country.

Carney corrects Rob Wotton live on air
It's not the first time that Wotton has annoyed Irish viewers. Back in 2019, while speaking to Brian Carney about an upcoming Great Britain and Ireland rugby league tour, he managed to aggreavate the Irish man.
Rob Wotton didn't once add in the Ireland part of the team's title, while Sky Sports News also left the 'Ireland' out of the graphic underneath Carney's name.
Carney responded like any proud Irish man would and corrected the presenter live on air.
Carney said:
Can we start with a geography lesson and a sovereignty lesson as well please. It's Great Britain and Ireland. Unless they've changed it and haven't given me the memo. I saw a quote included from the Irish Rugby League chairman yesterday, welcoming the return of the Great Britain and Ireland. He was the only person in the entire press release to reference the fact that the independent country Ireland is also part of this make up.
Unless that's changed, I'm going to go with Great Britain and Ireland. But Rob, It's absolutely great to see this brand back. It's a huge brand in international sport and in Rugby League. I was a very proud Irish man to pul on that shirt considering the people who had played in that jersey before hand. I had some great experiences, some of my best experiences playing in that jersey and playing with the creme de la creme of the Irish, the English, the Scottish and the Welsh players that were available at that time.

Carney rightfully gave Wotton a bit of a schooling when it came to the official title of the team and it's likely that the presenter won't make that mistake after the former Ireland international's response.
