Rob Kearney has joked that his wedding day "doesn't even register" when it comes to listing the best 10 days of his life.

The former Ireland and Leinster full-back had countless great days in both green and blue, winning two Grand Slams, four Six Nations titles and four Champions Cups.

He has also beaten the All Blacks twice with Ireland and gone on a couple of Lions tours for good measure, all adding up to one of the most enviable CVs in rugby.

All of these memories are obviously cherished, but if you think Kearney is making room for the wedding day he shared with Jess Redden among these great achievements, then you're sadly mistaken.

"I’m sure she won’t mind me saying this but discussing our wedding day with Jess, she thinks this was the best day of her life, nothing would come close to her wedding day," Kearney told RTÉ's Insights with Sean O'Rourke podcast. "In my own head I’m thinking, ‘Jaysus, this doesn’t come into top ten days of my life'.

However, Kearney added that the birth of the couple's son Bobby last August was "the highest of all highs," showing that his family doesn't completely miss out in the list of his greatest days.

Birth of baby Bobby ranks highly

"I’ve had Heineken Cups, Grand Slams, beaten the All Blacks," he added.

"Our wedding day doesn’t even register, and I thought nothing would ever come close to some of these big victories but the birth of your first child has made all of those sporting days so insignificant."

Kearney has made a significant contribution to some of the greatest days for Ireland and Leinster fans, but you would think the man himself would rank his wedding day a little higher in the grand scheme of things.

Still, at least Bobby got a look-in from his dad, amid all the trophies and celebratory nights out.
