Wales had a tough time of it yesterday in their final warm up game for the Rugby World Cup. With their important games starting soon, Wales have the prospect of one lead in against Uruguay before the tough test of England on the 26th of September.
They won't have been enthused with a lacklustre win against Italy yesterday, that was perhaps most notable for the potentially serious injuries to Lions fullback Leigh Halfpenny, and scrumhalf Rhys Webb. The WRU haven't released an update about either player's status - but this gif of Webb's ankle getting trapped under a ruck doesn't look good for the Osprey:
It's pretty bad. Almost as bad as Springbok captain Jean de Villiers against Wales last year. Despite the mass of pain and potential Webb must be in - he seems in good spirits this morning:
It doesn't sound good for his RWC prospects but credit to his outlook on things.
