RG Snyman was on the scoreboard yet again for Munster, as the South African put in another stellar performance in victory over Ospreys on Friday night.

Graham Rowntree's Munster side travelled to Swansea for their first URC assignment in three weeks, as they prepare for a crucial few weeks in their season.

Though Ospreys were dominant for large spells of the game, they were left ruing their lack of cutting edge, as Munster ultimately managed to claim a ten-point bonus point win - a huge step towards their hopes of a home draw in the URC play-offs.

Tries came from Seán O'Brien (2), Shane Daly, and RG Snyman - and it was the World Cup-winning Bok whose stellar performance drew the most attention.

Fans praise RG Snyman performance in Munster win v Ospreys

Seán O'Brien's two-try display - including a stellar kick chase all the way down the touchline from an interception - won him man-of-the-match in south Wales.

However, many fans online were enamoured with the performance of RG Snyman in the Munster second-row.

The 6'9" South African lock was instrumental in keeping Munster afloat under persistent Ospreys pressure but it was his contributions in attacking spaces which drew the eye of viewers.

Snyman's offloads are one of the most heralded elements of his game, and they were in full flow once again in the Liberty Stadium on Friday night.

He would go over for the decisive try of the game with just over 20 minutes to go, marking the second game in a row he has crossed the whitewash for Munster.

Snyman's time with the province has been defined by injury struggles thus far, and he made just ten appearances for Munster in his first three seasons.

Friday's game was just his third appearance in red this season - but it showed just what he can bring to the team when fully fit. Based off the fan reaction on social media, there is no doubt Munster fans will be hoping victory over Ospreys is a sign of things to come in the run-in from Snyman.

Snyman will, of course, depart Munster at the end of this season to move to interprovincial rivals Leinster. That move caused much controversy at the time it was announced, with Munster fans devastated to see their World Cup winner jump ship.

The Munster faithful will at least be thrilled to see that Snyman is back to his rip-roaring best in red, as they face down a tough run-in both in the URC and the Champions Cup.

With six games to go in the URC, Munster are well-placed in fourth in the table - though most of the teams behind them are yet to play in round 12. The top four in the table gain home advantage for the quarter-final stage of the play-offs.

Next week's URC assignment against Cardiff in Limerick will likely see the last of Munster's Irish contingent from the Six Nations return to the fray, as they prepare for their upcoming European assignments.

In two weeks, Munster will travel to Franklin's Gardens to face Northampton in the Champions Cup round of 16, with a quarter-final tie against either the Bulls or Lyon on the line.
