Following a meeting today with the FFR (the French rugby federation) today, reports in France suggest that Top 14 clubs have sided with the federation and as a result will play in next season's Heineken Cup rather than attempting to join the breakaway Rugby Champions Cup.
Last week, the FFR were one of the five unions which took part in a meeting to decide to format of next season's tournament.
According to Arnaud David, the French clubs also aim to get English clubs back in the tournament.
