Irish out-half Paddy Jackson is set to leave Perpignan and move to London Irish next season.
With Perpignan's relegation to the ProD2 looking increasingly inevitable, it has widely been reported in France that Jackson will leave the club at the end of the season. Last month, reports in the UK media suggested he was in discussions with London Irish to join up with his former Ulster director of rugby, Les Kiss, who is now head coach at London Irish. Declan Kidney is also at the club as director of rugby.
Per the Sunday Independent, that is now 'virtually a done deal.' The issue of the IRFU revoking his contract with Ulster was reportedly not raised during negotiations with both parties keen to get a deal done.
Perpignan are bottom of the Top 14 table and are yet to win a game this season. Last month, Midi Olympique choose Jackson as third on their recruitment 'flop' list.
London Irish are currently four points clear at the top of the RFU Championship as they look for promotion back to the Premiership.
