Former Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan is set to become to new head coach of French side Biarritz Olympique according to the Irish Independent.
The two-time Heineken Cup finalists were relegated from the Top 14 this season after accumulating just 30 points and finishing 21 points behind also relegated Perpignan.
It was reported yesterday that O'Sullivan was favourite to replace Simon Mannix and become the new Munster backs coach. But now the French side appear to have stolen the Irish province's thunder and acquired the services of the Corkman. The Indo say that he will be given a two-year deal.
When O'Sullivan takes them over in the Pro D2 he will be without big names such as Fabien Barcella and Damien Traille who have already agreed to leave. Dimitri Yachvili announced his retirement last month. No. 8 and captain Imanol Harinordoquy may stay on though.
O'Sullivan has been linked with Biarritz in the past.
