South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus has hit out at shocking abuse aimed at his scrum-half Cobus Reinach, who is due to start in Saturday's Rugby World Cup semi-final against England.
Erasmus shared a private message sent to Reinach from a French supporter, that threatened to murder him when he returns to Montpellier, whom he plays for.
"This is obviously not true," Erasmus tweeted.

In the same tweet, Erasmus also referenced a fake quote attributed him:
"Ireland and France Rugby can still make it to the Rugby World Cup Finals, They Just have to buy the tickets "
Erasmus was implying that fake quotes such as these can stir up unwanted hatred from certain sections.
