Rassie Erasmus isn't a man to mince his words. He says whats on his mind and isn't afraid to tick some people off. The Chasing The Sun documentary has perfectly shown that and the second episode which aired last night revolved around the before and after Ireland's win over the Springboks in the group stages at the World Cup last year.
Teaser clips were shared during the week ahead of this episode with Erasmus showing his squad headlines and quotes from the Irish media ahead of their match in an attempt to use anger as motivation and have the Springboks play with a chip on their shoulders.
We obviously know what happened on that night in Paris as Ireland won an all-time World Cup clash 13-8. It was a very disappointing result for South Africa and Rassie wasn't happy with his team in the days after. In Chasing The Sun episode two Rassie Erasmus talked about his anger at his team's reaction to losing.
For me there wasn't enough pain in there faces, there was not enough regret in their faces, there wasn't enough 'we f**ked it up' in their faces.

The episode then showed a team meeting in the days following the match in which Erasmus goes on an expletive-ridden rant about the lack of passion and the unwillingness of his squad to give their all for the Springboks.
Nobody pulled me back in line and say 'You're f**king clowns, you're adults with children, you're got mums that worry about you, a dad that's proud of you. They've got to see that you are proud of playing for the Springboks.
For f**k's sake, we can be number one in the world. What the f**k is going on with you. Have you become bigger than the game? I promise you Siya Kolisi isn't the biggest thing in South Africa, South Africa is the biggest thing in South Africa.
All the songs that you sing... you sing all of them but you're false, you pretend that you will die for your country but you will not die for your country.
Rassie after the Ireland defeat. Be proud to play for the Springboks. Siya is not the biggest thing in South Africa, South Africa is the biggest thing in South Africa. It isn't the first foul-mouthed moment to come from this new series of Chasing The Sun as last week Rassie's halftime speech from the World Cup semi-final caught a lot of people's attention and was another example of the type of no-nonsense coach Rassie Erasmus is.
It was the magic touch from Rassie as his side played the rest of the tournament with an intensity and effort no one could ultimately match. It will be interesting to see if this speech resurfaces ahead of Ireland's summer tests series in South Africa in July.
