Racing are in Limerick tonight, and are widely expected to stand neatly aside to allow Munster surge forth to a home quarter-final. It was the thumping win in France a couple of weeks ago (the game refixed following the sudden death of Anthony Foley) that strengthened Munster's grip on this pool, and led Ronan O'Gara to give an utterly dejected interview to Sky Sports, in which he described the then-incipient trip to Thomond as potentially "beyond embarrassing".
Racing honoured Foley a fortnight ago by wearing red t-shirts in their warm-up, and the club paid tribute to the great man again tonight by laying a wreath in the centre of the Thomond pitch.
It was a nice touch, which you can watch below.
Racing are not playing as expected, however, and are really putting it up to Munster in the early stages at Thomond.
