It's been quite a few years for Australian fly-half Quade Cooper. Scratch that, it's been quite a few weeks for Cooper.
The precocious talent has had some up and downs in his short career so far - from leading the Queensland Reds to the Super Rugby title in 2011 and Australia to the Tri Nations that same year - before slumping and lifting in the lid on the toxic environment of the Robbie Deans Wallaby camp as the Lions were in town.
Now that Cooper appears to be back in form, the ARU spent a lot of money trying to convince Cooper to renege on his signed contract with Toulon to join them after the World Cup. It looks like that had succeeded with Toulon threatening to sue the ARU with tampering their player.
Now though, there's been yet another twist. In last night's victory for Australia over hosts Argentina in the second of three Rugby Championship games - Cooper was brought on from the bench and was sinbinned with the score at 19-9 with 15 minutes left, for a needless tug on an Argentine player.
Yellow card for Quade Cooper - correct decision? https://t.co/q8qrrIkKZ7

While Australia managed to hold out and go on to win at a canter - Michael Cheika wasn't pleased with Cooper for his yellow.
That should have been the last we heard of things - but Cooper sent out this cryptic tweet last night. He's since finally deleted it.
Trouble in paradise - again?
