The Pro 14 returns over the weekend of August 21- 23 with two provincial derbies up for decision. On 22 August, Leinster and Munster clash at the Aviva, while Connacht v Ulster goes ahead a day later at the same venue.

Due to the impact that Covid-19 had on the fixture list, an abbreviated schedule will be introduced which will see the 2019/20 Guinness PRO14 regular season run to 15 rounds followed by semi-finals and a final across four consecutive weeks.

The first round of the fixtures will kick-off in Italy on Friday, August 21 with Benetton Rugby welcoming Zebre to Treviso.

The business really picks up the day after though with Scarlets facing Cardiff Blues in Llanelli, Edinburgh’s clash with Glasgow Warriors, and Munster's visit to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

On Sunday, Connacht take on Ulster in Dublin (live on TG4).

All games are live on Premier Sports, eir Sport, and DAZN.

At present, due to the current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic in South Africa, no dates have been scheduled for the derby games between the Toyota Cheetahs and the Isuzu Southern Kings.  Both clubs have only been allowed to return to non-contact training this week.

The postponed Round 13 fixtures of Zebre v Ospreys and Benetton v Ulster have now been deemed 0-0 draws and all four teams will have two points added to their totals as a result.

As for European Qualification for the 2020-21 season, the PRO14 organisers have agreed that rankings for European qualification for the 2020/21 season will be decided on the Conference table positions from Round 13.

This includes the points awarded to teams whose postponed games in Round 13 have been deemed 0-0 draws. Once the competition formats for the 2020/21 season have been announced by EPCR then PRO14 Rugby will confirm its qualifying teams for the Heineken Champions Cup.
