Ultimately, the scoreboard flattered Munster in a 23-17 reversal to Leinster at the Aviva Stadium. A late Keith Earls try earned Munster a losing bonus point but they were outplayed by Leinster for long periods of the game, with their ill-discipline costing them dear. Peter O'Mahony lamented such a prodigious concession of penalties in his Sky Sports interview after the game, while also rubbishing the notion that this game somehow resembled a "training game", as had been hinted at in the build-up to the game.
It was typical of O'Mahony: steely-eyed, honest, and firm. If anyone had seen that interview, they would have been disabused of any doubts surrounding the intensity of the game.
Among those who presumably did not see that interview was Reggie Corrigan, who interviewed O'Mahony later for TG4. He madly asked whether O'Mahony thought his Munster teammates did not try their best today, to which O'Mahony gave predictably short shrift. Things then got unbearably tense, and O'Mahony walked off.

Corrigan stuck to his guns and asked the same question of Rassie Erasmus:
