Following the decision from Peter O'Mahony to step down as Munster captain after ten years in the role, there has been much speculation as to why he has come to the rather out-of-the-blue decision.
Will O'Mahony be named as the next Ireland captain, meaning double jobbing will be to much on his plate? Or is his recent injury more serious than initially though?
The second option seems more likely, but a third has been pondered by ex-Scotland international John Barclay and ex-Wales centre Tom Shanklin, on their URC Unloaded podcast with Stephen Ferris.
Shanklin And Barclay Ponder Peter O'Mahony Decision
Shanklin: I wonder if there'll be a move mid-season maybe. Maybe he's agreed a move, who knows.
Barclay: That's what I think... I think he's agreed a move at the end of the season and he's thinking, what is he 34, and there's a lot of good guys coming through.
For me, he's either Munster forever, but then why wouldn't you keep him on as captain. And if he's thinking about moving then that's the only reason that makes sense.
Shanklin: He's Munster forever until somebody chucks 700 grand at you.

"Captaining Munster has been a dream come true for me," O'Mahony said in a recent statement.
“I grew up watching and idolising the Munster team and in particular the people who were leading the team.
“People like Mick Galwey, Jim Williams then on to the likes of ROG and Paul, who I had the privilege of playing with at the start of my career.
“I can remember the day I was asked to be captain like it was yesterday and discussing it with Paul to get his approval.
“From that day to this it’s been an utter privilege and has never been something I’ve taken for granted.
“However, having given a huge amount of thought to it, I think it is the right time to step back from the role to share my experiences and give the same guidance that I received when I took on the role.
“What an unbelievable honour it has been…and will always continue to be.”
