According to reports in France this morning, prosecutors in the country have opened up an investigation into allegations that pharmacies have been supplying banned substances to Toulon players.
Toulon owner Mourad Boudjelal has since come out and refuted the reports saying that none of his players are involved in the investigation.
Speaking to TV3 today, Toulon summer signing Paul O'Connell said that he didn't know anything the story, but that he would be making enquiries.
I don’t know anything about it. Some of the lads told me about it before training, they’d obviously been reading a news website.
So I don’t know anything about it but I’ll be making a phone call this afternoon to see what the story is.
It’s not a great thing to hear at all, no, but hopefully there’s a sensible explanation for it.
I’m going to try and find out what the story is.
