Paddy Jackson has completed his move to the French Top 14, and has this morning signed a two-year contract with recently-promoted Perpignan.

Sporting Director of the French side, Christian Lanta confirmed the news this morning:

Paddy Jackson, in the tradition of the Irish number 10, knows how to put his individual qualities at the service of the collective. He is a confirmed point scorer and a talented lineman Paddy will bring his experience of international level to this team.

Jackson has not played since having his contract revoked by Ulster and Ireland in 2016. Stuart Olding, who had his contract revoked at the same time as Jackson's, has also moved to French rugby. Whereas Jackson joins a side promoted to the Top 14, Olding signed for a club going in the opposite direction in Brive, who were relegated from the Top 14 last season.
