Six minutes into the second half between Scotland and South Africa, Stuart Hogg was involved in a clash with Springboks prop Tendai Mtawarira.
The Beast attempted to block down a clearance from the Scottish fullback, making slight contact with Hogg on his return to the ground.
Hogg hit the turf with an obvious attempt to get Mtawarira punished.
Moments later Nigel Owens was having none of Hogg's behaviour.
The game was played at St. James Park - the home of Newcastle United - which the referee referenced when reprimanding the Scot.
I was looking at it. He was committed in the air. There was nothing wrong with it.
Dive like that again and come back here in two weeks and play. Not again. Watch it.
A cynical person might think that Owens had that line prepared. Given his apparent dislike of football, it's surprising that he knows Newcastle do not play next weekend - due to the international break - and that their next home game is actually on October 18th against Norwich.
