How does a top international referee spend the day after overseeing his 50th international match? Rushing to his next destination? Lazing around the gaff in the afterglow of a job well done? Laying low in disguise after having a stinker? Not Nigel Owens, who spent last Sunday at NUIM Barnhall, taking charge of the club's under 12s against their Wicklow RFC counterparts.
Owens seems to have enjoyed the occasion, and tweeted in praise of both teams.
Always keen to give something back to his sport, Owens will take charge of a colleges game in Wales today.
Nos da. Time for some shut eye. Refereeing @coleggwent v @colegllandrillo tomorrow afternoon at Pontypool Park live on S4C website 2.30pm.
