Hansen Makes Some Bold Calls As New Zealand Name Side To Face The Lions

Against the prevailing wind of public opinion, the Lions' tour of New Zealand has gone down to a decisive third Test. The All Blacks remain favourites to take the series, mind: they haven't lost at the venue for the final Test (Eden Park, Auckland), for 24 years.

They have some problems, however. Sonny Bill is suspended for another three weeks having smashed Anthony Watson's face with his shoulder, while Ben Smith is out through injury. That means Jordie Barrett (brother of Beauden) makes his first Test start at full-back. Elsewhere, Ryan Crotty in the Corner has failed to recover from the injury he sustained in the first Test, so Ngani Laumpae - effective off the bench in Wellington - starts at inside-centre.

Julian Savea replaces Rieko Ioane on the wing, Israel Dagg reverts to the wing having played at full-back in Wellington, while captain Kieran Read will make his 100th Test appearance.

So for the last time until 2029, here is the New Zealand team to face the Lions:
