What are they putting in the water down in Otago?
A fascinating photo in the New Zealand Herald, which was taken during Otago Boys 86-0 battering of Waitaki boys last week, makes for truly remarkable viewing as an Otago prop lines up his opponent for what looks like the type of impact that sparked the big bang.
It is pretty much schools rugby in a nutshell, as the size disparity between the who lads which have developed at VERY different rates is simply stunning.
That poor kid.
He's in an awful position, so far play to him for even attempting the tackle. The best thing he could do is try and grab a leg to slow the man who looks at least 28 years old down. The number 20 on his back as well, probably wasn't even expecting to play.
We hope this didn't bring back any schools rugby PTSD from any of you who were in a similar situation on these shores.
