The home jersey is not a huge departure from last season's effort, but this new Munster jersey does not have some very nice touches; those collection of dots a very interesting look.
To be worn for the next two seasons, the intricate designs were carried out with the club’s fortress, Thomond Park, in mind; with the province celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the stadium’s redevelopment this year.
By contrast, the new alternate strip might be very popular indeed. In an aqua-blue colour, it will definitely catch the eye.
Inspiration for the new alternate jersey was taken from the province’s scenic Cliffs of Moher. Detail on the front of the jersey symbolises the layered foundations of the Cliffs and the colour reflects the copper ore mined in Munster over 400 years ago - An iconic jersey, for an iconic province.
Regarding Munster's Pro14 jersey for the 2018-19 season, the province will stick with the kit that they wore for last year's campaign. Reaching the semi-final of last season's Champions Cup, Munster will be hopeful that the new jersey will accompany them to even greater heights in the season ahead.
Losing one of their talismanic players Simon Zebo to Racing 92, the signings of Mike Haley and Arno Botha, as well as the outstanding performances of Conor Murray, Peter O'Mahony and Keith Earls in Ireland's Grand Slam winning year, are sure to have the province confident of another good year ahead.
